Ghoomar Dance: One of the most popular dances of the state, Ghoomar Dance is mainly performed by women on an auspicious occasion. Women wear colorful Ghagra to perform this dance.
Bhavai Dance: Only skilled and well trained performers can perform this dance. The women balance 8 to 9 brass pitchers on their head which seems tough. This dance form looks very impressive. The rhythmic balance of the pitchers seems stunning.
Gair Dance: Gair Dance is a dance of both men and women, this dance is performed during the Holi festival. The beating of the sticks is the main attraction of the dance. This is mainly a tribal dance.
Chari Dance: This is a dance of women and performed when they go in search of water. The women balance pitchers on their head rhythmically. In the top most of the pot, a flame is produced from the cotton seed.
Drum Dance: Putting a naked sword in his mouth, the dancer also juggles with other three swords. The other members of the dance tie a drum around their neck and beat it. This dance symbolizes the perfection of martial arts.
Kachhi Ghodi: Kachhi Ghodi is performed to entertain the bridegroom’s party. The costume of the dance looks like a riding horse. The performers perform mock fight in this dance.
Sapera Dance: Kalbeliya snake charmer’s community performs this Sapera dance. A long black dress embellished with silver ribbon is worn by the performers.
Kathputli Dance: Kathputli Dance is puppet dance in which puppet perform the dance. The puppets are decorated and made into human forms and other figures according to the story.
Kathak Dance: The origin of this dance form is as gharana in the courts of Jaipur. Now this is not only a dance form of Rajasthan it is also a popular dance in Lucknow, UP and in other places.
Fire Dance: Fire dance is performed during winter nights. In the beds of red burning coal this dance is performed. Music accompanies this dance.
