Ranakpur is synonymous with Ranakpur Jain temples located 98 km away from Udaipur city. As it is located between Jodhpur and Udaipur, one can cover this destination while visiting Udaipur or Jodhpur. During the reign of Rana Kumbha Ranakpur was founded. The carved Jain temples of Ranakpur are the major attractions of the town for the cultural and art enthusiasts. Lots of heritage tourists visit Ranakpur which is also a famous Jain pilgrimage destination in Rajasthan. The total covering area of the Ranakpur temples are 48.000 sq.ft including 29 halls and 1444 pillars. The main temples are Parsvanath and Neminath. The carved temple architecture of Ranakpur has some similarity with the Khajuraho Temples.
