About Bundi :

Once the kingdom of the Hada Chauhans, Bundi is located in close proximity to the Kota industrial city of Rajasthan. The past glory of Bundi is still seen in the monuments of the city. The major attractions in Bundi are the monuments, the scenic natural beauty, ponds and dams. The medieval monuments of Bundi are located in the heart of the town and there are beautiful temples and picaresque lakes.

  

This small city of Rajasthan is located on the scenic backdrop of the Aravalli Hills. It is 206 kms from the capital city Jaipur. It is said that the name of the city is named after the brave tribal chief Bunda Meena. The Chauhans ruled at this city in the 12th century.

The total area of the Bundi city is 555 sq.km. The best time to visit Bundi is in between October to March.

Kajli Teej: Kajli Teej festival is a major festival of Rajasthan is celebrated in the Hindu month of Bhadra. This festival is famous among the foreign tourists who like to come to Bundi during the festival to explore the true color of the city.

Bundi Palace: A prime example of Rajput architecture, Bundi Palace is known for its wall paintings.

Chhatar Mahal: A spectacular Mahal of Bundi, Chhatar Mahal is a palace with some unique features. Hazari Pol located inside the palace draws attention of the travelers which has an old water clock and the Naubat Khana. The architecture is pure Rajput architecture.

Kshar Bagh: A classic creation of Rajput architecture, Kshar Bagh is an attractive garden at Bundi.
