Day 01, Arrival in Delhi: Step out of the flight at Delhi airport and meet our representative. He will take you directly to the hotel. Take the hotel and take rest for a while. After that you set out your sightseeing in Old Delhi. Old Delhi was erstwhile the Shahjahanabad established by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. This region now houses the Jama Masjid and the Red Fort, the giant fort. The market is called Chandi Chowk is one of the oldest vibrant markets of Delhi. Tour all the attractions of Old Delhi.
You can also enjoy the light and sound Show programme at Red Fort. After a lip-smacking dinner, stay overnight.
Day 02, Delhi Sightseeing: Post breakfast; get ready for your sightseeing in New Delhi which houses some heritage monuments with colonial buildings. The sightseeing tour covers tour to Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, Rashtrapati Bhawan, and India Gate. At last visit the Raj Ghat Memorial to pay tribute to the Father of Nation.
In the late afternoon, explore the markets of Delhi. Delhi is paradise for the shopping freaks. You can pick up souvenirs. After a theme dinner, stay overnight.
Day 03, Delhi-Mandawa (258 kms-5 hours): After breakfast, drive to Mandawa, a city of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Reaching, take the hotel.
Mandawa is famous for the painted havelis and the Mandawa Castle. The havelis were the residence of the rich merchants; some of them are still the residence of the descendents. Late afternoon, explore the frescoes of the havelis which depict stories from folk themes to scriptures.
Cultural programmers are arranged in the evening. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 04, Mandawa-Bikaner (200 kms-4 hours): After breakfast drive to Bikaner, the camel city of Rajasthan. Bikaner houses the forts, temples and palaces.
Reaching Bikaner, take the hotel. Then get ready for a tour in Bikaner. Then visit the Junagarh Fort made of red sandstone and marble. Then you will tour Devi Kund, Shivbari Temple and Havelis of Bikaner, Karni Mata rat temple, Lallgarh Palace.
If you have still time you can enjoy a camel safari to explore the villages of Bikaner. After dinner, stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05, Bikaner– Khimsar (145 kms-3 hours): After breakfast, proceed towards the Camel Breeding Farm. Then visit the Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum which has antique collections of the Harappa civilization and other ages.
Then drive to Khimsar. Reaching, take a hotel. Then visit the Khimsar Fort, and the local villages. The Bishnoi village is located in close proximity to Khimsar. The Bishnoi community worship nature. Tour the Bishnoi village to explore their idyllic lifestyle.
After dinner, stay overnight at Khimsar hotel.
Day 06, Khimsar– Jaisalmer (295 kms-6 hours):On the 6th day of Heritage cum tradition tour of Rajasthan, drive to Jaisalmer desert city located in the heart of Thar Desert. Enroute tour the famous Ossian Jain temples known for their carved architectural beauty.
On arrival, check in at a hotel. In the evening enjoy folk dance and music programme.
Day 07, Jaisalmer Sightseeing: After breakfast, drive to Desert National Park to spot the desert animals. Then come back to the city and explore the majestic Jaisalmer Fort which dominates the entire landscape of the city. The yellow sandstone building of the fort awes a traveler at first sight. There are some Jain temples located inside it. Tour the fort and the temples.
After lunch, explore the havelis of Jaisalmer. Also visit the Desert Culture Museum and Culture Centre.
In the afternoon, drive to ‘Sam sand dunes’ to enjoy the camel ride. Sunset view at Sam sand dunes looks spectacular. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 08, Jaisalmer-Jodhpur (300 kms-6 hours):After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur and on arrival take the hotel. Today you can do shopping at the markets of Jodhpur. Also you can visit the Jodhpur polo grounds.
Day 09, Jodhpur–Luni (35 kms): Today visit the Mehrangarh Fort which overlooks the city. Then you will visit the royal marble cenotaph, Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace. After lunch check out the hotel.
Late afternoon drive to Luni, a pastoral village that houses artisans and craftsman. On arrival take your hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10, Luni–Ranakpur: After breakfast, meet the local artisans to explore their art and crafts. You will see here the art of pottery and toy making. Also visit the Luni Fort.
Then drive to Ranakpur and on arrival take the hotel. Then visit the famous Ranakpur Jain temple. After dinner stay overnight.
Day 11, Ranakpur-Udaipur: After breakfast drive to Udaipur, the romantic lake city of Rajasthan. Enroute drive past the pastoral landscapes of Rajasthan.
Udaipur, erstwhile the kingdom of Mewar Rajputs is the most romantic city in India flanked by three lakes. The major attractions are the palaces, temple, and art and handicrafts.
Today visit the majestic City palace located on the bank of the Lake Pichola. The inner architecture of the City Palace is an emblem of Rajput architecture and it also houses a museum which has a rare collection. Also Tour the Jagdish Temple and the Lake Palace.
In the evening, boat ride at Lake Pichola. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 12, Udaipur-Deogarh (130 kms-2.30 hours): After breakfast, drive to Deogarh. On arrival take the hotel.
Visit the Deogarh Mahal Fort palace which is now a heritage hotel and Dashavatar temple and the Manastambha, a group of Jain temples. You can also tour the Bhil village known for their cultural life.
After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 13, Deogarh–Samode (270 kms-5.30 hours): Drive to Samode village and en-route tour the Brahma temple and other Hindu temples at Pushkar holy town.
Samode is a picturesque village on the outskirts of Jaipur city known for the Samode Palace which has been converted into a heritage hotel now. On arrival at Samode you will take your hotel. Stay overnight at Samode.
Day 14, Samode-Jaipur (40 kms-1 hours): After breakfast, set out your guided tour at Samode. Visit the Samode Palace famous for its ornate interiors and it is fine example Rajput architecture. Don’t miss a visit to the Samode Bagh garden. Also you can visit the old fort of Sheograrh.
After lunch, drive to pink city and on arrival take the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. If you want you can have a bird’s eye view of the pink city today. After a theme dinner, stay overnight.
Day 15, Jaipur Sightseeing: Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan is one of the most visited destinations in India. The major attractions are Rajput forts and palaces along with gardens and temples.
Today after breakfast, you will first visit the Amber Fort located on a hillock overlooking the Jaipur city. You must enjoy an elephant ride to the top of the fort. Then proceed to Jal Mahal to enjoy a camel ride.
After lunch, you will visit the Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Albert Hall Museum, Birla Temple and the Jantar Mantar, astronomical observatory. Then you can go on a shopping spree.
After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 16, Jaipur–Agra (221 km- 4 & half hours): After breakfast, drive to Agra city located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Enroute you will visit the Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted Mughal capital known for its masterpieces of Mughal architecture.
On arrival, take the hotel in Agra. Then you will visit the Agra Fort, the administrative hub of the Mughal capital. Here you can explore the palaces of the queens and kings along with other important residence buildings. Also visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb built by Nur Jahan in fond memory of her father.
After a Mughlai dinner, stay overnight.
Day 17, Agra–Delhi (204 kms-4 hours): At dawn, explore the jewel of Mughals, Taj Mahal located on the bank of the mythical river Yamuna. Taj looks wonderful at dawn when the sun rises; the color of Taj changes with the sun hues. Enter into the inner side and try to explore it.
Then pack up and drive to Delhi. On the way you can visit the birthplace of Lord Krishna, Mathura. Amidst the spiritual atmosphere you feel the depth of Hindu beliefs. Continue drive to Delhi and on arrival take the hotel. If you have time you can do the last day shopping in Delhi. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 18, Delhi–Departure: On the concluding day of your Rajasthan heritage tour, take the flight back home.
